Hello beautiful people! Today in this article, I want to share my travel experience and the top things to do in Jibhi. This one place is really close to my heart and I am gonna tell you why very soon.
How did you first hear about Jibhi? Let me guess! You must’ve seen some reel on Instagram, in which an influencer is relaxing on a beautiful tree house.. right? But whatever the reason is, Jibhi amazes travelers with its pristine beauty and tranquil ambiance. Join me as we embark on a personal journey through Jibhi, a tranquil village nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore the top things to do in Jibhi, from scenic treks to unique accommodations and cultural experiences. Let’s dive in and uncover the magic of Jibhi together.
THINGS TO DO IN JIBHI
1. Discovering the Hidden Treasures – The foremost reason I loved the time I spent in Jibhi was that it is still kind of hidden from being over-commercialized. Far from the beaten path, this picturesque village in Himachal Pradesh holds the promise of unforgettable experiences and breathtaking views. As you travel the winding roads that lead to Jibhi, a sense of anticipation builds with each passing mile. The landscape transforms from bustling towns to rolling hills and you get to witness a treehouse every few hundred metres. Arriving in Jibhi feels like stepping into a different world—one where time seems to stand still, and nature’s wonders await at every turn.
2. Stay in a ccommodation That Feels Like Home – When you visit Jibhi, you can stay in cozy homes and guesthouses hidden in the hills. It’s not just about being friendly here; it’s a whole lifestyle. Picture waking up to the sound of birds, eating yummy meals made with local ingredients, and chatting with your hosts under the stars. Every stay in Jibhi is warm and real, giving you a taste of Himachal Pradesh.
The place I stayed in Jibhi was the Kaivalya-Luxury retreat. I booked this through AirBnB and have posted a reel on Instagram of capturing the sky here. Though it’s new, the service was great. I was surprised by the tasty pasta and cappuccino the chef made, even though I expected normal traditional Himachali food.
3. Trails Less Traveled – Jibhi is great for people who love nature and adventures. You can explore beautiful paths that go through thick forests, fields full of wildflowers, and secret valleys hidden in the mist. One of these paths leads to a calm lake called Serolsar Lake, surrounded by tall pine trees, which is perfect for picnics and meditation. The trek to the lake is about 3 kilometers long, and if you plan to come back on the same day, you’ll need to walk another 3 kilometers, which is usually doable. If you are planning to visit Jibhi or Tirthan Valley, this is a must for things to do in Jibhi.
In this photo, do you see a little birdie sitting on top of the rock? It is said that this bird protects the lake from contamination. The locals have even given it the name “Aabhi”.
4. Treehouses in Jibhi– For those looking for a special place to stay, Jibhi has cute treehouses surrounded by lots of green trees. Picture waking up to the happy sounds of birds singing, going out to your own balcony to watch the beautiful sunrise, and feeling like you’re part of nature in your comfy home among the high treetops. 5. Culinary Delights and Local Flavors – You can’t visit Jibhi without trying its delicious Himachali dishes. From hot Siddu and tasty Madra to comforting Thukpa and Momos, the local flavors will make your taste buds dance. Don’t miss out on a chance to enjoy a traditional Dham feast—a big meal that celebrates the food traditions of Himachal Pradesh.

6. Connecting with the Locals – What makes Jibhi special is how friendly and welcoming the people are. Spend time with the locals, learn about their customs and ways of life, and become part of village living. Whether it’s joining in a traditional dance, helping out during harvest time, or just having a chat over tea with new friends, you’ll feel the sense of community and friendship that makes Jibhi so vibrant. I met this cute lady in Jibhi, who prepared the most delicious Siddu for me near Jibhi Waterfall. We exchanged our stories and I was surprised to see how much there is to learn from the pahadi people.
7. Tandi Jibhi Waterfall – When it comes to things to do in Jibhi, the trip cannot be complete without a visit to the enchanting Tandi Jibhi Waterfall. Located amidst dense forests, this cascading waterfall offers a refreshing respite from the summer heat and a picturesque backdrop for photography enthusiasts. Take a stroll along the forest trail, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and feel the cool mist of the waterfall on your skin as you soak in the beauty of nature.
8. Visit Kulhi Katandi (Mini Thailand) – I can’t describe enough in words what the view looked like. But below is a short video of the river flowing. Check out the YouTube video here. Doesn’t it look amazing? Keep in mind that reaching this location takes a little hike down to the river. So, I would recommend not taking people with old age over here.
As I mentioned earlier, Jibhi is still hidden from a large population. Therefore, it’s essential to tread lightly and respect the delicate balance of the ecosystem. Let’s commit to practicing sustainable tourism, minimizing our impact on the environment, and supporting initiatives that promote conservation and preservation. Together, we can ensure that future generations continue to experience the magic of Jibhi for years to come.
